There is a tradition at St. John’s to gather in the Parish Hall after Sunday morning worship for a chat with old friends and new acquaintances over a cup of coffee and a snack. Special effort is taken to provide an environment that is friendly and welcoming. This is an unstructured time that has proven to be an effective avenue for creating community.

Social occasions are organized primarily around the Church Calendar for the celebration of principle seasons and holy days; for example but not limited to, greening of the church for Christmas, cooking pancakes on the Tuesday before Lent, Easter Brunch, and sharing a pot luck dinner at Pentecost.

The Parish Life Team works together to create opportunities for St John’s to work and play together and to be an avenue of Godly service and ministry to one another, the church and greater community.

In-Person, Outdoor Services Have Resumed

St. John’s Anglican Church resumed in-person services on Sunday, June 7. These services will be conducted outdoors and we will follow social distancing guidelines. We will also continue to stream our services on YouTube for individuals who wish to participate remotely. In the event of bad weather, the service will be available to watch online on the St. John’s YouTube channel.
