There is a tradition at St. John’s to gather in the Parish Hall after Sunday morning worship for a chat with old friends and new acquaintances over a cup of coffee and a snack. Special effort is taken to provide an environment that is friendly and welcoming. This is an unstructured time that has proven to be an effective avenue for creating community.

Social occasions are organized primarily around the Church Calendar for the celebration of principle seasons and holy days; for example but not limited to, greening of the Church for Christmas, cooking pancakes on the Tuesday before Lent, preparing a Seder meal during Holy Week and sharing a pot luck dinner at Pentecost.

Once a month the women of the church come together to fellowship, learn and inspire each other. It is their desire to be an avenue of Godly service and ministry to one another, the church and greater community.
